Imperial Legion Armor Replacement Read Me v1.3

A few words...
from oddbasket

Okay, these is the original mod and excellent textures done by DagothBalls, but after playing it, I really had to make some changes using the textures as a base. The textures were darkened and touched up by me and mipmaps were also added to textures and the normal maps.

Why? Simply because the originals were much too bright resulting the legion looking like tin men and I wouldn't want to wear legion armor unless I'm role playing as "Aluminium Man". My biggest squibble with it was Imperial Horsemen looking like baldspots on their horses. The new textures are darker looking like fine iron armor and blends well with Imperial City. Of course, I was waiting for one from Daggothballs but there wasn't one... so here it is!

Hope you enjoy it! Please email me at oddbasket@yahoo.com if you find any bugs, and feel free to use this mod in any of your own.

Description:
------------

This is a mod that replaces the rusty Legion armor in the game with a beautiful detail retextured one.

Installation:
-------------

*The retexturing has come a long way from a simple darkening of Dagothballs textures since. (Hey! There's reason to run around in Legion armor now!) So it's only appropriate that I come up with my own esp and folders.

**Those who have installed the previous version of this mod needs to use the new esp as well as remove the 2 folders "Dagothballs" under \data\mesh and \data textures before installing this one.

1. Simply extract the contents of this package into Oblivion\Data folder.
2. Check the esp under "Data Files" and play.

Changelog:
----------

Changes in 1.3:
---------------
-Fixed a spelling mistake in the filename of the world legion helmet mesh (apparently from Dagothballs original files).

-Updated normal maps and compression to improve detail.

-Updated and enhanced Elite Black high quality armor textures and added golden linings and the minor details to the entire armor set.

-Removed Gunmetal version to half the file size (pointless having variations if only one version can be used at a time).

Changes in 1.2:
---------------
*New Elite Legion Armor "Black Iron" version available.
*Original darker version is no longer available

**Latest "Royal Gunmetal" version for those who don't like the "evil" looking black version. Plus, black version is a richer and darker black (then the screenshots)
**Extract files to Oblivion\Data, gunmetal version is in "textures gunmetal", replace originals to use

Ethereal: Armor - Imperial Legion Edition
Version: FINAL

Legal: I dont care if you use these textures/meshes all I ask is that you simply tell me
what your using them in and give me creddit where credit is due. Oh and if you are making
money off it I want some! LOL!

This is the final version of the Imperial legion Edition.

It covers:
All the imperial legion armor including female versions and the Imperial Horseback armor.

What is it?: It is an armor retexture of the Imperial City's Imperial Legion Guards. No longer Rusty, this armor is not however ultra shiny. It is weathered and bares scares of past fights and is starting to wear. But every good soldier keeps his armor clean! And they do appear to sheen in most places. giving one the idea that they have been cleaned and pollished recently.

Will this replace the old?: Yes however I will be releasing later a "Comunity Resource" version which simply add's the new textures/meshes as a new armor set.

Can I have a look before I go and download it?: Sure can -

Kool! whats next?!: Well my next project is Paladin armor, but thats all im saying for now. ; )

How in the hell do I install it?!: Simple.
Extract the archive and copy/cut and paste the "Textures" folder and the "Meshes" folder into your:
C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\
folder.

And copy/cut and paste the "Imperial Armor Replace.esp" or "Imperial Armor Replace AR.esp" into the same directory.
(C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\Data\)

The only difference between the ESP's is that the AR version modifies the armor rating of the Legion armor to that of Orcish armor.

NOTE: Only use one ESP at any one time.

Hope you enjoy it!

Dagoth.
